I am testing my Garmin Swim 2 in open water and I realized that every arm movement is calculated as distance even with GPS on.
Did anyone come across with this problem?
Especially when you swim breaststroke it is even more (distance-wise).

With breaststroke, watch is mostly underwater, so the watch can not use GPS. It calculates distance from arm stroke detected by accelerometers.
If you experience the same issue with freestyle, try to wear the watch on your other arm (for me it made the trick). The watch does not like some kind of freestyle swimming styles (over rotation or over reaching definitely causes GPS signal loss).
