Garmin Swim 2 OW distance error

My Garmin swim 2 watch distance measurement for Open water swimming is almost double the distance covered. Is this as software bug?

    What software version do you have on the watch? That was a SW bug, but it was corrected many versions earlier. As far as I know, the 2.40 solved it.

    Hi there.  Thanks for the reply.  

    It’s 2.50. 

    Since posting I have sone more in-depth research and have seen the note from Garmin about it the GPS not working for breaststroke and suggestion to wear under a swim hat or ina floatation device  

    Yesterday I attached the watch to the strap of my swimsuit and the reading for distance was more in line with the correlation I did with Google Earth. 

    however now I have no SWOLF as no strokes registered so I want to remove this Stat but I can’t  see how to remove this stat from the display screen. It’s quite frustrating as I was super excited to get the watch
