How do I get my swim 2 watch to show as actually visual laps on strava once it has uploaded from my watch?

I have a friend who has a swim 2 and when she uploads her swim (outdoor) from her watch it actually shows the laps she has swum on strava. Mine doesn't. Any suggestions as to how I can do this?

Are laps showing on your activities in Garmin Connect? Could you post a link to one of your activities?

From strava support, "Please note: If you are recording a swim activity in an outdoor lap pool, it is best to turn off GPS and use laps. In order to get the most accurate data, you should treat outdoor lap pools as indoor swims."

On strava indoor and outdoor swims are displayed differently. Simply edit the activity, set it as outdoor swim, and you will have the same look. So data is there, but strava acts weird.
