Garmin Connect on my android shows the correct track - yes i know i was supposed to swim in a straight line.
But on https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/5624703322 is shows that i started down by equator
The same for the exportet .fit file - here imported into Endomondo
The Swim 2 has firmware 2.30 and Garmin Express says that it is current

I have the same issue , but it happens multiple time in the middle of OW swim training ( not at the beginning or the end, so the suggested trim option is not useful in this case)

Can't see my answer with my last swim included .
But last Saturday i swam for 50 minutes. The watch recorded every sekund, even trough most points has to be estimations between the real GPS fixes. I did use the stop and start during the swim but not near the lost position. It lost it three times. This was the fist one
Notice that there is not position for 10:30:17 It also lost it 20s and 30min later.
I might have paused to get my bearing or adjust the googles but did not push the watch.
To me it looks like
a) The watch should not log invalid positions
b) Garmin Connect og the web (and other sites like endomondo) should filter them out. Looks like the android app does that
