Swim 2 and running, Fitbit

Hi there

I currently have a Fitbit charge 3, but have found its ability To count laps in the pool very very inconsistent. I’ve had issues with Strava and fit bit double counting runs.

My question, is the swim 2 a similar to a forerunner 235 in terms of running tracking ? How accurate is the lap counting for swimming

my other option is to look at the charge 4.

thanks

  • Lap counting is accurate, if you have good swimming and turning technique, and the pool is not too crowded. If you constantly need to change speed or stroke type, have a weak push off the wall, then Swim2 might give a terrible lap count.

Swim2 is NOT a running watch, it makes a GPS track, but no magic added. No pace, HR or any kind of alert, no running pod, nothing, just very basic functions.
