Swim 2 Dead....

Got it for Xmas, less than 2 months old. Shut off this morning and will not turn on. Battery charged yesterday, also plugged into computer today to see if it would show up in Garmin Express App. No luck, watch is dead. Is there a way to do a hard reset or any other ideas.

    PG, thanks for the info......Looks like it's a problem with more than just my watch.

    Same problems with my brand new Swim 2. Turned it off to try and connect/sync, would not turn back on. Battery charged, pushed every button combo without success. Walked away frustrated, came back in a couple of hrs. to find it working. As far as Bluetooth connection goes it's a crapshoot if it will work. Bluetooth Setting on iPhone says connected although Garmin Connect app most often indicates no connection. Sounds like a firmware update is in order, lots of issues for a moderately expensive item from a reputable company.....

  • A bit late to reply to this one, but maybe useful for other users. Afair when I setup my Garmin Swim 2, you should NOT pair your GS2 with the iPhone (probably any smartphone) in the Bluetooth settings on iPhone. Start the Garmin Mobile Connect app and search/pair GS2 in the app. If you pair the GS2 with the smartphone in the BT settings on the phone, the mobile app will not find GS2 anymore. In this case you have to remove GS2 from the mobile phone's BT settings and start pairing in the Garmin app again.
