Is this the only Garmin watch that measures HR while swimming?

The title says it all. I would like to know if Swim or Swim 2 are the only Garmin watch to measure heart rate under water, while swimming? Does the Fénix 6 have this function ?

If Swim is the only Garmin product line to have this funiction, why is it so? Is this just a way to have you to buy several watches? I bought a Garmin Vivoactive, and my only disappointment was precisely this point, that it cannot measure my heartrate while I'm swimming.

It is not the only watch. Currently the F6 and FR945 also have this feature. Perhaps some other most recent devices as well.

AFAIK 245 does not measure hr underwater.

What about the Fenix 3 HR, can it monitor you HR underwater ?

No. The watch can be tricked into keeping the sensor on, if you start a non-swimming activity in a pool, but not only will you lose any swimming-related metrics this way, but the HR data might be highly inaccurate as well.

OK but it is possible to measure HR during a swimming rest, right ?

With the optical sensor? Not if you start a swimming activity on the watch.

so even if i ve paused the activity i want be able to see my HR ?

So only the FR245, vivoactive 4 and Fenix 6 series are able to look at your HR, during a swiiming workout ?
