Hi,
I'm running all over the world and sometimes it's not possible to run outdoors (due to extreme weather or timing). So you can find me on multiple treadmills around the world. The FR970 has this feature of calibrating before saving and I'm always using it. However, it really needs some updating as it's not correct. Let me explain:
When I'm running for example 30min on a 5:00/km pace and then 30min on a 6:00/km pace, I ran 1hr in total for a distance of 11km, with an average of 5:30/km.
Let's say my FR970 is, wrongly, saying I ran 12km, I would hit "calibrate and save" and make it 11km instead of 12km.
My FR970 will then say I've ran 1hr and covered a distance of 11km, average pace of 5:30/km. Totally correct...
However, when you look in detail into this activity, it will say I've ran the first 30min at a pace of 4:37/km and the last 30min at a pace of 5:27/km, as my FR970 initially, wrongly, thought I ran 12km in 1hr.
So when you recheck the activity it says I ran 30min at 4:37/km and 30min at 5:27/km for an average pace of 5:30/km for a distance of 11km. That's not possible..
- So I suggest to update this feature of calibrating and saving after a treadmill run to also update the pacings in detail during that run itself.
Thanks
