So the 970 gives the option to create a round trip course on the watch ranging from 1 mile to 100 miles.
I've tried this twice now. For a 5k run on Saturday and a 10k run this morning. Seem absolutely pointless as if you pick of the 3 suggestions, it gives NO turn by turn instructions!
Turn by turn works on routes created in Garmin connect web but not in the round trip suggestion. I can't run and look at a map to see where I'm going so what is the point of this function if it doesn't give you instructions on where to go?
I was excited about this feature as I hoped I could stop having to keep manually creating routes but I guess it's back to manual plotting until they fix this.
I have opened a support case about it in hope that it's a bug and not intentional behaviour.
Anyone else tried this functionality?
