With my 970, I don't wear it for sleep, and keep it on my dresser. However, I have noticed that when the morning report comes, it will turn on the screen, and keep the screen turned on and lit even while not on wrist. And not just for a few seconds (i.e. display timeout, etc..) I am talking about 30 mins--screen won't turn off. Usually when not wearing the watch, the wrist detection will kick in and turn off the display within a few seconds.
