Pressing button, the screen would not come back

Was running on a Treadmill, long press the left button to get the music menu. Prested the right button to close the music and my activity screen was black. The only thing that showed up is the key symbol to swipe down. even after wiping down I could get back to the activity screen. I could get to the system menu and the music menu. I had to restart the watch. After restarting the watch, the activity was just paused.

Seen the same thing while swimming and and long pressed the left button to activate Spotify and then the main activity screen was black. I could still se other screens through long presses but the activity was black and I just couldn't get it to become visible again. Eventually I got the activity back, I think after doing something more on the music app.
