Yes, this problem still exists.

I also experienced this behavior on my Epix 2. Sometimes it disappears after an update, then it reappears with another update. It seems to be a major problem for the programmers.

The error disappears then rebooted. But the number of errors adds up after that. At least that's what I have seen.

Confirmed, it is not fixed with the update. For me it resets after a sync via cable with Garmin Express but counts up with every WiFi sync afterwards.
