I seem to have got my watch into a boot loop with this bug.
1) Start Garmin Tri Coach Brick workout.
2) Finish the Bike portion go into transition 1 and stop activity.
3) Select the resume later option when you stop it
4) Go about your day forgetting to resume the activity and pretend your gonna do a 40min run later in the day,
5) Its bed time so I try to save the activity but at this point I cant reaccess the activity and I cant start any new acitivty as the watch says I have to stop the previous actvity.
I was not sure how to get back to the old activity after leaving it and being back at the main watch face. The manuals for the 970 dont show any way to get back to the paused activity.
6) Give up and restart your watch
7) After restarting the watch you are now brought back to your activity with the only option to cancel the workout.
8) I made the mistake of hitting the back button. This brought me to the activities list and I could not get back to the activity getting the same error as before. I have to stop the previous activity before starting it.
9) I tried hitting the back button to go back to the main watch face but was stuck in the activities list no commands or buttons worked. I could go up and down and select stuff.
10) Restart the watch in a hope to cancel the workout instead of trying to save it.
11) Restarting the watch put it in a boot loop and it no longer starts. I just ge tthe blue play arrow on start up for 30 seconds and then it goes black and then it comes back in a loop forever.
Please fix this and add proper documentation for the resume activity function of the watch. Hopefully my watch is not bricked due to this bug but I have yet to get it out of the boot loop and plugging it into my computer gets nothing.
