Can the Forerunner 970 use the treadmill‘s speed output?

Dear Garmin-Community,

I have recently received my garmin Forerunner 970 and am quite happy with it there is only one thing I hope to conquer and that is connecting it to my

Technogym MyRun treadmill. Currently I use my HRM-600 for speed on my treadmill which is ok , but I wondered if I could use the treadmill speed directly by

connecting it as a food pod sensor. However the watch does not see the treadmill when I search for it. When I surf the web I find contradicting answers some say

it works with all modern Forerunner models, some say it does not work at all.

Has anyone made it work and how did you manage to do it? I had a Polar Vantage before where I could get the treadmill speed directly to the watch - so the treadmil must be sending

something.

All help is appreciated. The watch has the newest firmware.

Hi Timo, I have My Run Technogym too. It works as you want. To search and connect your Garmin, turn off every kind of bluetooth connections, like tv, phone, etc etc and than start searching in connectivity/sensors/new

Dear michhei,

thank you for your answer - just to be clear I will disable all connections except the HRM-600 and then the MyRun, correct? Probably I have to change the HRM-600 to running metrics and HR only?
