Long Interval Set Up Help Forerunner 970

I am looking to set up my Garmin for my upcoming marathon, into 4 long intervals, 3 miles, 7 miles, 10 miles and 6.2 miles. I want to be able to see my average pace during each interval to know I’m keeping pace and if I can slow/speed up to meet my goal. I understand lap pace may work, but I just tried this by turning off auto lap and I was not able to see my individual mile splits nor did my watch notify me of mile markers. How would I set up the garmin to see the avg pace for each interval, while the watch notifies me at each mile and able to see individual splits after the race?
