DSW with track run issue

I am using DSW with LTHR% and when I get a threshold workout and select track run, the main workout portion just becomes a single 200m split. For example, given a DSW of 10 min warm up, 15 min threshold, 10 min cooldown, it will do exactly that for a normal run activity but when selecting track run, it will turn into 10 min warm up, 1x 200m, and 10 min cooldown. The heart rate target for both the 15 min and 200m are the same. This seems like a software issue as it seems highly unlikely that it would be expected behaviour. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • I have noticed this issue and consider it a software bug. My fix was to select a normal run and use the suggested workout. Interestingly, the watch detects that I'm at the track and auto selects track settings in the background but doesn't change the workout from times to metres.

One other software bug to note while doing this is that the workout autoselects lane 1. I use lane 4 if possible which adds an additional 23m to the lap length. Garmin does not account for this and my additional metres (amounting to a whole lap after 18 laps) are not registered!

I've attached a couple of recent suggested workouts which corrupt when selected as track runs. First is a 10min warmup; 20min tempo; 10min cooldown selected as a default run and as a track run.

Second is a 10min warmup; 4x9min tempo; 10min cooldown selected as a default run and as a track run.

He's hoping they read your post and resolve these issues.

  • Hi thank you for the screenshots, this is exactly what I am seeing as well. As of now just starting it as a normal run seems to be a workaround. It auto detects track run and records fine. I usually only use lane 1 but that seems like another issue that will hopefully be addressed.
