How to recover an activity erased on Forerunner 970

Hello

After an activity I made a mistake and ignored the activity on my Forerunner 970.. Is it possible to recover it?

I read that there is a file.fit but I can't access it on my MacBook Pro because the 970 drive has a MTP protocole.

If anyone have an idea...

It is possible. It might require third-party tools and a lot of luck. On macOS, you'll need OpenMTP, to view and move files while the watch is connected to your Mac.

Once you have access to the device using computer, check if it is actually deleted. There are typically 2 possible locations where the FIT file could be located on the device

\GARMIN\ACTIVITY
\GARMIN\TempFIT

If it is in either of those locations, try importing it using these directions - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If you can't locate the FIT file, you still have a few options, but the chances of getting a non-corrupted file are slim, especially if you've used the watch since then, as the file will eventually be overwritten with new data.

It works with OpenMTP but unfortunately my file.fit has been probably erased because I don't see it in Activities or TempFit folders.
