Hey all! I'm not really sure which device is the primary culprit here, as both devices have a bit of a reputation for tech issues, but I am experiencing persistent issues with audio cutting out during my runs using the Forerunner 970 and Powerbeats Pro 2.
I've been using this combination since May, with some occasional Bluetooth spottiness and static, which was fairly minimal and manageable. However, in the last week, audio has been completely cutting out from the headphones during my runs. The Bluetooth connection is still working, as I can pause/play using the headset buttons and see that change on the watch, but there is no sound.Once this happens, I am basically out of luck until I am able to put the headphones back in their case and reset the connection with the phone. (Which then means either cutting the run short or pausing it if I am close to home.) Disconnecting and reconnecting on the watch does not fix the issue. Powering the watch off and on does not fix it either. Factory resetting the headphones did not fix it.
I wasn't able to find any posts with this specific issue - I see some older watches had similar issues with AirPods, but I wondered if anyone has been experiencing anything like this with the 970s and if there are any known fixes. I am wondering if this is a firmware bug, as it started happening shortly after I installed the most recent firmware update.
Thanks for any help or advice!
