Phone Calls and assistant issue

• What is the phone model?
• What is the phone OS version?

• Do you have any other Bluetooth devices paired to the phone (headphones, speaker, car head unit, etc.)? If so, were they recently turned on and used?
• Android phones- is/was the watch added as a trusted device on the phone?
• If you were able to resolve it briefly, how did you go about doing that?
  • Did toggling Bluetooth on the watch or phone resolve it?
  • Did it require rebooting the watch?
  • Did it require rebooting the phone?
• Does the Garmin Connect app show that the device is connected when attempting to use the Voice Assistance features? Are you able to perform a successful sync with the watch?
• Do any of the connected Voice Assistance features work? For example, if you cannot start the Voice Assistance, can you still make/receive a phone call and hear it through the watch?
• When you experience Voice Assistance not working are you on Wi-Fi or cellular. If on cellular, how was the signal strength at that time?
• Did you use your phone's native telephony service? If it was a third party app, what app? (example: google duo, discord, etc.)

The problem is with the Phone app on the watch. When I receive a phone call and the Phone app activates with notifications and sounds, the Assistant audio and the ability to make calls no longer work. So the only solution is to restart. After a system restart, the Assistant audio works and I can make calls without any issues. However, if I answer a call with the watch, the audio and microphone crash, and no sound is emitted. Sometimes, before the audio disappears completely, every sound plays at half speed.

I try with reinstall software, and hard reset.

I use Android 16 on Pixel 8 pro with Gemini.

The assistant instead work maximum 2/3 consecutive calls, then he goes into a tailspin until the restart.

I uploaded 3 video with issues. So I show you that sound works good on making call. Receiving call the audio become instable, disappear, then going on water ejection the sound return, but going again on making call (or also calling the assistant) the audio stop working on the system until rebooting the watch. So it's the incoming call that crash audio (and it doesn't work because no audio are played and mic doesn't work).

Any result? I also have the exact same problem

We must wait untile the next update, and wait to see if it works or if some other bug pops up. If it doesn't work this time, I'll personally invoke the warranty for lack of conformity and ask for a refund, because I don't know about you, but I feel cheated after spending €750 that this watch still has all these bugs. The heart rate sensor without a chest strap is super inaccurate, the speaker doesn't work, the map lags and is unusable. Basically, that's it.
