Hi,
since updating my Forerunner to firmware version 12.70, I am experiencing an issue with Sleep Mode:
Previously, I had configured a shortcut using the "Back" button (Settings > System > Hotkeys) to toggle Sleep Mode (Sleep Focus Mode) on and off manually. Before the update, I was able to use this shortcut at any time to enter or exit Sleep Mode – regardless of whether my scheduled sleep hours ("Sleep Schedule" under Settings > System > Sleep Mode > Schedule) were active or not.
After the 12.70 update, the shortcut only works if the Sleep Schedule is not currently active. For example, if I wake up earlier than my scheduled wake time and try to exit Sleep Mode using the shortcut, it does not work. The watch still shows "Sleep Mode: On" (Sleep Focus Mode enabled). It seems that the scheduled sleep period now overrides any manual attempt to exit Sleep Mode via shortcut.
This change is problematic for users with irregular sleep patterns who rely on manual control. Before firmware 12.70, manual toggling was always possible. After the update, the system schedule appears to take priority.
Is this an intentional change or a bug? Could Garmin restore the previous behavior, allowing users to manually override Sleep Mode even during scheduled sleep hours?
