Metronome not working on the 970, 3rd attempt at posting this

I joined the beta program to hope to resolve other issues, and have attempted to post his twice there but it goes into moderation and never posts to the Garmin team.  SO strange, anyway I am posting here in the event it can reach an ear in here:

The Metronome is NOT working at all on the 970.   It beeps at no logical intervals and is not useful. 

As this is an important feature to train cadence, I think it should be fixed.  It is still not fixed on version

    Garmin forums is used for collaboration amongst Garmin users, we do have moderators such as myself but if you are needing any fix or resolution on an issue we recommend customers reach out to Garmin Product Support specifically. 

    Do you have a video of the metronome not working and can you explain in what way it is not working?

    Thank you, could you please take a picture of your Metronome settings as to what you have it set to?

    Beats/minute, what is that set to?

    Alert frequency what is that set to? I will assume every beat.

    If you set it at 170 BPM, every beat it is terrible and mimics the above video.  

    If you set it at 170 BPM, every 4th beat, it is NOW better (previously that was also very broken and i reported it to Garmin directly under my email user garmin account) but indeed there is still a slight hesitation and frequent hiccup. 

    This can be verified using a metronome app set to the same BPM and frequency, 

    It is not usable in its current form. 

    Note to engineers: this is NOT bluetooth latency, i am not connected to bluetooth.  Are you scheduling beats in a loop rather than pre-buffering audio?  Why not pre-buffer the audio?  THen Compensate for drift as well. I assume it is running cnstant background tasks that interfere with processing prioirty - if you are deprioritizing the metronome thread for even a fraction of a second, you’ll hear stutter or irregular beats.  A metronome seems trivial but i get there are probably reasons here.

    Anyway, i began am using a custom screen now to track my cadence, but it certainly would be nice to still have it fixed.
