When I was setting up the 970. I enabled ECG. That required two factor authentication. Now, I'm stuck with that and no way to go back. Anyone have a similar situation?

The Garmin connect app seems not to require any new 2FA once logged on. That's how it behaves for me.

The browser seems to have a expiry time for the 2FA, unknown how long.10 days or so it seems. Anyone knows?

For some month ago I needed to use 2FA every time I logged on the connect in browser. That is gone now.

2FA is a good thing to have in this day and age. And it's not only ECG that requires 2FA - I had to enable it on my account for my Garmin Dashcam some time back. I would imagine that at some point it'll be a basic requirement in general. Extra security is a good thing.

And as hakanwidlund said, the GC app does not require it outside of the initial login (new phone, or after delete/reinstall of the app). Web might require it occasionally but it's a simple process and absolutely worth it for keeping your data safe
