GPS connectivity and accuracy during outdoor runs - UPDATED ON 16/07/2025 - NO NEW ISSUES REPORTED

I have recently purchased a Forerunner 970 and completed my first outdoor run with GPS only mode at where I usually run. With my previous watch, Forerunner 955, GPS only mode. I had no connectivity issue back then however during my first run with FR 970, GPS connectivity dropped several times and my pace varied substantially, too slow to too fast. I have never experienced such an issue with my FR 955 before. Any updates on this matter?

  • UPDATE (16/07/2025): Today, I completed my second outdoor run with my new FR 970. This time, I did not face any GPS connectivity issue. During my hill repeats session, pace calculations were in synced with my actual speed and very responsive to varied paces.
