Another disappointed Garmin user plagued by reboots

Hello, unfortunately, I'm one of the FR970 users plagued by sudden reboots.

My first reboot occurred on June 22, 2025. Of course, I immediately contacted Garmin's German (Austrian?) support the next day.

My memory dump was uploaded, but my request for a response within 14 days regarding the warranty was dismissed, arguing that the software developers are based in the US and therefore have virtually no influence on development.

I was offered a replacement watch, but they pointed out that there was no guarantee that a different watch would improve the situation.

So, since the reboot couldn't be reproduced and the following days and activities all ran smoothly, I contacted support and declined the offer of a new watch.

Well, what can I say? Today at 8:41 PM, it rebooted again when I tried to answer a call on the watch. I should note that nothing else was active on the watch.

I've now sent an email to support saying I'd like a replacement, but on the condition that the replacement be carried out in a timely manner. Given the price of this watch, I really don't want to wait here until one is sent to me at some point...

Well, long story short, I'm hoping for a software update soon to possibly prevent the replacement after all!

Dear Garmin staff, my case can be found under the number "<< Ref: 30402851K1 >> <Q#:1000705>".

And @Garmin support staff who are active here in the forum I'm happy to be contacted directly, and of course, my data can be uploaded from the watch so that a reliable fix for these crashes can be found as quickly as possible!
