Only 5 days with AOD?

Hi. Just got the FR970, and I noticed that I get 5 expected days of battery with AOD on. (Pulse OX off, Screen brightness set to max, but tired to use it with lowest brightness without any changes in expected days. Stock watchface)

Garmin states up to 8 days with AOD on so just wondering why I get so big of a difference.

I know real life battery will depend very much on how you use it, but I would expect estimate to show 8 days when I fully charge it and start using it.

Edit: How many estimated days of battery do you get with AOD on?

Hmm, weird. 5 this is almost 40% lower than Garmins statement. Not good at all.

With 5 days, you start thinking about charging just after 3 days. With 8 days, you can use it a week before charging. Huge…

5 days, AOD on, brightness low and puse OX off. I was expecting more with lower brightness.

Yeah I agree. I’d understand it more if I was using GPS hungry activities but haven’t this week.

Same, 5 days with AOD on and lowest brightness. About 14-15 with AOD off.
