Touchscreen set to map only for activity not working

The setting in general use is set to on. It is set on Maps only in focus modes/activity.

When I try to zoom or move the map in an activity or map in the list it's not working.

Is this a bug or am I missing something ?

When you are on the map data screen, and you tap the display to enage with it, do you see the unlock icon at the top to slide down?
