Forerunner 970 Beta

Noticed yesterday an option to enroll in the 970 Beta program has appeared.

There's no software to download yet but there must be something due as the option wasn't there a few days ago.

Be aware though if you do enroll you're accepting the benefits of fixing bugs and getting new features with the risk of downloading more bugs.

Jesus, I remember how bad the first load of betas for the 955 and 945 were. Not worth it.

@dtunney, do you honestly think the current FW version of the 970 is stable? It really looks like beta not stable

Exactly my thinking, it's always a risk but hopefully it'll mean recieving quicker bug fixes

There are bugs but it's pretty stable for using during activities.

No! the watch is extremely slow and unresponsive and the buttons work when they want to

It's a bit puzzling to see Venu X1 beta live and running even though the watch was released after the 970 and nothing still for the FR.

I forced a software update for my 970, it said downloaded update but then didn't offer to install, so I'm guessing something will happen soon.

There is also no forum for the 970 in the Beta area yet....
