Phone assistant volume quiet

The volume of my Forerunner 970 speaker is fine for things like alerts, navigation, music but when using it with my Google Pixel 9 the volume of the speaker is almost impossible to hear. The volume is turned up and as I say it's fine for other sources, but phone assistant is so quiet.

    Damn still can't get this trick working for me. Still stuck to having extremely quiet assistant - basically making the feature useless.

    I managed to solve this by adjusting the assistant’s volume on my phone while it was speaking through the watch. Like this:

    1. On your watch, trigger the phone assistant with a question that will produce a longer reply, like ask it to count to 20 or something (so you have enough time to adjust the volume).

    2. While the assistant is still talking, turn up the volume on your phone.

    Now the assistant has two separate volume levels: one for when it's used directly on the phone, and another for when it plays through the watch. I was able to raise the volume so much that I actually had to lower it back down to about 50% on the watch.

    This worked for me on my Pixel 7, with the assistant being Gemini.
