Heartrate issues

Hello,

I recently purchased a Garmin Forerunner 970. Unfortunately, I have considerable problems with heart rate measurement while running. The watch takes an unusually long time to display realistic values - especially in the first ten minutes, I see values that correspond to about half of my actual pulse. As soon as the measurement finally reaches plausible values, the heart rate remains at a constantly high level (about 180 beats per minute) and then changes only minimally by a few beats, regardless of my actual load.

I deliberately wear the watch tightly on the wrist, but still comfortable, so that a loose fit can be ruled out as a cause. Tattoos or other skin changes that could affect the measurement are also not present. In addition, my Forerunner 970 was updated to the software version 6.17 yesterday.
