Hey!
I was able to do this on my 965.
While following a course during an activity, I would like to only see my heart rate and the map.
It seems to me like I have to have two data fields now. please fix this

The bottom black “next navigation point” box cannot be removed.
This is why I have been begging Garmin for a year (fenix8)
Exactly. I would like to remove that one such that I can see the hr with the single data field layout.
And also I think the new solution where you lose the ETA and distance to finish data screens is not good.
I don't understand you can add a single field HR data field.
Please be more specific
I think you're the one that needs to be more specific as I don't really understand what your issue is
One data screen that also has disappeared is the course elevation plot.
It's not disappeared it's just in the course view.
Glad to hear that! Could you please explain how to find it?
It's actually a bit of a mess. You have to start your activity with a course enabled to be able to access these additional scrrens. You are better off adding them manually to your activity data screens. When you start an activity with a course enabled long press the up button you will see your named course in a box. Press the start button and it will take you into those additinoal screens. The problem is your can't view your other scrren you've added from this view and have to back out of this view to go to the activity screens!
Thank you! That was very helpful, and achieved what I wanted!
The only thing I am missing now is being able to having exactly one data field (HR) while following a course and looking at the map data screen.
Looking at it now it looks like there is a bug in the layout screen for one data field when following a course.
I agree. If you choose the 1 data field layout. It is hidden by the black navigation block.
