I purchased two Forerunner 970 watches – one for myself and one for my wife. Mine is working properly; I restored the data from the 965 and everything works fine.
With my wife's watch, after restoring data from the 265s (aside from the fact that we had to do it twice – the first time it restarted and restored to factory settings), it seemed to be working fine at first.
After some time, while setting up widgets, activities, and configuring things in general, an error occurred – the display became distorted: the entire font was warped, enlarged, and shown at a very steep angle. There was nothing we could do except turn the watch off and on again.
This issue happened around 8–10 times yesterday... Honestly, it's really disappointing considering the price and the fact that it was a gift.
What do you recommend?
(The only installed apps are Spotify, parkrun barcode, and Connect IQ.)
