Tolerance Running

Hello, I rate all my runs with a very high acute impact. According to Garmin, it is calculated taking into account the pace among other things, and based on a reference value of that pace. How is this reference value calculated? Where is? Even though I do very easy runs, it tells me that they have a high impact, it is as if that reference value was a very very low pace. I don't understand anything. Yesterday a very easy 10K race, I calculated it as 16K!!! I bought this watch, among other things for this feature, but I am very disappointed. I don't know if we should give more time to race tolerance. I run an average of 60 k a week, now I only "allow" 30 and also weighted by the acute impact... If someone could help me...

  • It's complicated...

Key inputs such as weight, speed and intensity combine with running dynamics that include cadence, ground contact time and more to reveal the relationship between how you are running and how it affects you. Uphill and downhill efforts receive special consideration according to the steepness of the climb or descent.

To provide this insight, your performance is analyzed continuously throughout your run. Factors are interpreted in real time by using a neural network specifically trained to estimate ground reaction forces, which is the force exerted by the ground on your body in response to your foot striking the ground. That impact load is then shared as equivalent mileage.
