Do you guys think Garmin is gonna release a new software update soon? or are they gonna leave us with this faulty one hopping that we get new watches?

I don't expect any new features will be released. But they might release some bug fixes. They don't seem to care much about the older watches though.
I'd be very surprised if they had stopped firmware development altogether for 965, with earlier versions watched got bug fix release for about 2 years after new features stopped coming. Probably a new…
Thank you!
I'd be very surprised if they had stopped firmware development altogether for 965, with earlier versions watched got bug fix release for about 2 years after new features stopped coming. Probably a new beta will start soonish (I hope at least, although I have no problems with my watch at the moment).
dont forget that the 955 and 965 are on same fw. so i dont expect any new features for 965, only a few bugfixes (so nothing spectacular).
My warranty ends in one month, I hope they can update that firmware to see if it really was faulty firmware or the sensor
It's most likely a broken sensor.
If it is a firmware problem, everybody would have that problem.
LOL;) Like the occasional corrupt fit file that happens on at least half dozen devices?
I too have been experiencing the heart-rate issue and only since the upgrade. It’s pretty clear that it’s malfunctioning. If you look on the Garmin 165 forum they were mentioning that issue was happening for the 165, 265, and 965, but so far only a fix for the 165. They seemed to be pretty happy with their 27.10 update. I’m assuming we can’t use their update though manually, right? I keep checking the forums every week or so hoping to see 27.10 rollout coming and am saddened each time.
Why would a firmware which is the same on every device act different on a small number of devices or on a single device?
Thats not logic.
If a device acts different, then there is something going on with this or these devices.
Like a broken ciq field or app.
Or even user errors.
Or...a broken hardware.
(Except special use cases, i.e. very very long activities which only a handful of users are actually doing and discovering a bug like that)
Do you need me to explain how 10 different things can cause it, all related to Garmin, or have you understand why you managed to contradict yourself in your last sentence?
That's a reply regarding the sensor problem.
If a sensor is not working, it's most likely a broken sensor and not the firmware.
You brought up some other problems/bugs
Unless it started with a firmware upgrade and it happens to so many users...
