I ran the Miami Marathon this Sunday. Prior to the race, I created a PacePro plan to run at a specific pace and take advantage of the overall ahead or behind feature provided by PacePro strategies. After testing it multiple times during training, I expected it to work as intended. Unfortunately, during the race it did not work at all.
I updated the watch software the week prior to the marathon (my bad), and it appears that this update broke the PacePro functionality. At no point during the race did I receive an overall ahead or behind notification, nor was this information displayed on the watch screen.
Needless to say, I am very disappointed with software rollouts that include bugs severe enough to negatively impact training and race day performance. I trained for a long time for this race, only to discover during the race itself that a core feature of my watch was not functioning.
