PacePro with elevation based goal

I'm preparing for a race and I'd like to try using PacePro for the first time. Either I don't understand the concept or PacePro doesn't... because the elevation based goal pace just doesn't seem work very well:

I started with looking at km based splits

This doesn't look bad, but then I thought: probably elevation based splits would make more sense for me, so I tried it:

However even when I slide the Elevation-Based Splits to the most (right) it still has some long splits that include uphills that it seems to have ignored. Also when I look at the "elevation change" of the splits... I mean elevation change? Why is there no elevation gain per split? It has 2 up and down hill splits that have minimal elevation change, but does have some elevation gain.

I am not a big runner, so maybe the problem is my expectation, but why can't it split it up to more, smaller chunks, so every "small" uphill and downhill will have it's own split? I mean I know, probably someone will say, that I'll end up with hundreds of 10 meter splits because one goes 10cm up, the next goes 4cm down. I am not talking about it, but here's how I would like to split it:
