Version 26.08 firmware update

Since I updated my forerunner 965 watch to version 26.08, I have been unable to sync my watch to my phone. I have had this watch since Fall of 2024 and never had a problem. I have tried everything including setting the watch back to it's factory settings and deleting all the data that I had on the watch including music. I don't know what else to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can....

Go to Settings / system / about / now press 8 times Light button ... and chose Software reinstall

Unpair it from your phone and also remove it from your phone's list of paired BT devices.

Always after update I also made a SOFTWARE REINSTALL... so first I reset a watch ... then I update watch ... and emediatly after update I make a Software reinstall... after this procedures never had any problem and my watch works perfect...

Thanks for your reply. I have already unpaired and removed Garmin Connect from my phone several times. This is not working.

Maybe this is my problem. Maybe 26.08 is corrupt on my device. Can I reinstall the firmware?

Removed from the Connect app and your phone? Maybe the reinstall will help.

Yes, I have removed everything and reinstalled many times now. I have reinstalled the software and it still will not pair to my phone. I thought that maybe my phone was the problem, so I tried on my work phone. The same connection problem on that phone too. My watch is broken and I will probably just get a new one. This is my 6th Garmin watch, and I still love their watches. This will not change my mind about Garmin.

Try contacting Garmin directly. This seems to be more a user forum. Find the product page for the 965 and see if you can find the chat option.

I'm not sure if you have an Android or iPhone, but uninstalling Connect and reinstalling it might help.
