Will I get any new data if I upgrade my old HRM Pro to the new HRM 600, or am I better off getting the HRM 200?
Thanks.

As far as I know you won't get any new data it's reserved to Fenix 8 and 970 onwards :( I lost my HRM Pro-plus 6 months ago and was hoping they will port some new metrics but they didn't and from what i know they don't intend to... so i wouldn't bet on it)
Thanks. I'm in the same situation. Lost my Pro Plus last Friday. It used to be half the price of the HRM 600, but it is now sold out everywhere here in Denmark. I think I will buy a Polar H10 then because of the memory function.
or maybe try to run without HRM ;) to be honest I’m not missing mine that much as thought I would. The 965 wrist hr is pretty ok of course for 400m and shorter sprints it could be better but I kinda like to not feel chest strap anymore and I’m less nerdy in terms of all metrics as I used to be ;)
Good point. I'll try that :-)
The memory function of the H10 is ONLY useful if you use Polar Flow to upload your activities, then export the heart rate data and then merge it into your activity on another platform (I used to do that on Runalyze).
BTW the H10 is excellent for real-time HR.
I like having the HRV recording (the actual time in milliseconds between each heartbeat) during activities, so I use a HR strap always, and every strap works, but there are marked differences between brands. Polar and Garmin: all excellent, including the old HRM-1, so is the Xoss x2 pro, but CooSpoo, Wahoo Tickr and Magene were disappointing (no true HRV recording). Optical HRMs do not provide true HRV during activities. Obviously this is not a concern if your analysis software does notb use the HRV data.
Thanks for the insight. I thought that heart rate data could be uploaded over ANT+ to my Garmin. Merging data in Runalyze might introduce too much friction, making me less likely to use it daily.
I am not familiar with myGarmin. Maybe someone here knows if this is indeed possible (ANT+ to myGarmin)?
By "my Garmin", I think he means his Garmin device (e.g. Forerunner 965).
He's saying he thought that his Polar H10 could upload HR data to his Forerunner 965 via ANT+.
But I don't think that kind of thing is possible unless you use a Garmin strap.
Indeed. Only Garmin straps can upload stored HR data to a Garmin wearable.
