Hi team,
I recently bought a Garmin 965 for my daily run.
I was interested in this watch for 4 reasons.
First being the battery that was supposed to last 23 days.
Second, the internal song storage that can be played via BT Earbuds.
Third, the health status.
Fourth, Maps because as a samsung watch user I got to know Garmin FR 265 didn't had it so I thought to go with FR 965.
Real life experience:
The watch seems to lose atleast 10% battery each day whether I go for a run or not declining from 24 days.
First week - First day : I plugged my earbuds left for jogging with watch. Everything was fine for 5 min then the song started lagging. I thought I didn't had earbuds charged so next day I had it completely charged and then went for a run.
Same thing repeated then I thought maybe it's been a long time that I had Boat airdope, may be it has stopped working. I bought a new earbud ( soundcore 20). I tried the fourth day I got the same issue again.
I google it and got to know that that it's a common issue that multiple people had faced with Garmin 965 and other Garmin watches, raised in Garmin forum year back.
I also wanted to tell you that Garmin 965 has map support for US, Europe, Australia and almost all other countries except India.
All my expectations were vanished by 6th day, then I reached out to support and got to know that theirs a third party in India who's handling repairs for Garmin and Refund is only available within 30 days only for US and Canada customers.
My bad I bought it from store instead of Amazon.
Now I reached out to the third party customer service and explained the issue, the product is with them and I'm hoping for atleast a resolution.
In my mind I'm already convinced that I've become part of the Service center loop where they will keep the watch for a week and then send me, the issue will happen again and then again I'll send it to them they will fix it and send back and this will go on and on until this 1 year of expiry gets completed.
Btw I bought this 15 days back from Brigade road Garmin store.
Any idea, suggestions on what to do ?
