FR965 2 years use, battery suddenly goes 0% from 67%

Recently I found my FR965 goes battery 0% after 1-2 days, it displayed 67% (means 33% drain with 1-2 days, heavily used activity and wifi since i was testing it.) then 0%, turned off.

I've factory reset the watch but no imporvement, unfortunately warranty already expired. Is this expected life? I was using FR935 3-4 years before but never seen such short life.

Latest firmeware updated. anybody has same sympton? or anybody know battery management reset?

Leave it in the charger for another two hours after it displays 100%

if nothing will change, contact with your local Garmin directly, probably they will replace the watch

My 965 started draining much quicker after the latest update. After a bunch of soft and a couple of hard resets it seems to be back to normal.

It can be 100% chaged. My point is that once reachaed to 67%, goes to 0% in a few minutes.

he wanted to tell that leave the watch on charger at least for 4 hours , if after this the battery drain is so quick after 67%, probably something wrong in the battery. what kind of charger do You use for it? i prefer to avoid the quick chargers (so everything above 1A), if you used a strong charger (2A or higher with big watts), that can destroy the battery.

You could try connecting the watch via the Garmin charging cable to a computer and sync the watch with Garmin Express. This will clear any pending updates or syncs from the watch and could resolve this issue. You can also try the tips to improve battery life here: support.garmin.com/.../

The same happened to me one month before the warranty expired (2 years). I tried soft reset, hard reset, even not recovering my settings, not installing anything, just leaving the watch in a default state, nothing helped. Contacted Garmin and got a replacement which has been working fine, but I am a bit worried it will happen again after 2 years or so. None of my previous watches "died" suddenly like this...

ofc, if the charger switch for the right mode which need for the watch (that tell the charger what kind of mode is needed), if not, the battery will blow up due to overcharge (i know personally about such a case with Garmin device... )
