After this cycling workout, it changed my max heart rate to 214 bpm. I'm 39 years old. Is this possible?

Is 214bpm possible at 39, maybe, but on a 6hr ride... ? Did you do a all out LONG sprint that or series of them that would have caused you to loose vision a bit, maybe taste of iron in mouth, couldn't catch breath? I see you were in zn5 for 4minutes... is the HR data smooth/accurate and correlate well to the effort you were doing? OR just error ?
I am not a fan of auto setting Max... should be from your best knowledge based on real world race or workouts. add a bit extra if you think you could have maybe went harder - longer. Want hot, race day, lots of caffeine and adrenaline, shorter race so you can really hammer hard
I'm thinking the algorithm recalculated max hr based on the zones. There is no way I could sustain threshold for almost 2 hours. The higher max hr recalculates the zones, so in reality, I was riding tempo?
