Problem with the current pace

While running, the watch doesn't display the current pace, only in 5-second intervals, e.g., 4:45, 4:50. I have all satellites and multiband set up, and I start training when everything is connected. Data recording is set to every second. The problem persists.

Garmin watches have rounded current/instant pace to the nearest 5 seconds for a long time. This is apparently done because Garmin doesn't think instant pace from GPS/accel is all that accurate.

Garmin watches have rounded current/instant pace to the nearest 5 seconds for a long time. This is apparently done because Garmin doesn't think instant pace from GPS/accel is all that accurate.

If you really want unrounded instant pace, you would have to use a 3rd-party Connect IQ data field. I have a field called AppBuilder 5 that can do this:

- install the field: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/fd690281-9c22-4fee-a81e-3b7f39aa67c5

- Change the field settings:

Label: PACE (or whatever you want)

Formula: speed

Display Format: Pace

There is also a simpler field that can do this, but it doesn't let you change the label. For fairness, it here it is:
