Does the Garmin Heat Acclimation tracking incorporate humidity as well as temperature? If it doesn't it probably should. Running in 25C with 40% humidity is a lot easier than running in 25C with 90% humidity.

I believe it just takes temperature into account, not heat index.
I have believed for a quite some time that heat index should be considered, when possible!
