Deleted Alert Still Appearing on Forerunner 965 (Even After Reset)

Hi everyone,

I have a Forerunner 965 and at some point, I created a custom alert to remind me to eat every 35 minutes during my runs. Later on, I deleted this alert, but it keeps showing up in every run I do.

Here’s the strange part: I even performed a full reset on the watch. However, after restoring my settings from a backup, the alert came back again — even though it no longer appears in the alert list in the activity settings.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to fully remove old alerts that somehow remain hidden but active after a restore?

I believe doing a full factory reset without using the backup might fix it — but honestly, I really don’t want to go that far. It’s unbelievable how Garmin doesn’t seem to care about these bugs. Hopefully someone here can share some insight.

Can you edit the alert to occur at a much longer time interval? For example, a reminder to eat every 3500 minutes, so that you never see the alert on runs less than 3500 minutes.

It doesn’t work because the original alert was deleted. When I create new alerts, the newly created ones show up — but this deleted one still appears as well. I even created a new 35-minute alert and tried turning it off, but that didn’t work either. Thanks for trying to help.
