If those sleep mode problems are caused by the recent beta version, I suggest you discuss about them on the beta forum (they have already been reported and a ticket has been created).
I’ve noticed I can’t turn touch off in sleep mode, and red shift doesn’t work. It seems like a lot of settings broke recently.
