Is there a triathlon coaching plan on Garmin FR 965?

I am trying to add a triathlon caoching plan onto my 965. Hwoever, only running and cycling comes up as an option.

So, if I understand correctly, this is a software limitation. Garmin sells a premium watch, but it becomes completely obsolete to force us to buy the latest model. Apple doesn’t do that! Going back…

The triathlon Garmin Coach plan is only available for the Forerunner 570 and 970. What Is the Garmin Triathlon Coach Training Plan? - sorry for any confusion or inconvenience!

Going back to my Apple Ultra. Garmin is becoming a brand that only older people use because of sheer ignorance. Other companies like Amazfit will take over. I’m returning my Garmin!

Nope. You need to get a 970 as per below.

Hi,

In case you did not find this already or no one presented you the following option. In the browser version of Garmin Connect there is an option of Olympic triathlon in the Garmin Coach Plans, but you find it only when you push “Find a plan” and scroll down until you find “Browse All plans” and choose “Triathlon”. Why Garmin has chosen to have it in the browser version only, and only an Olympic triathlon is ridiculous.

Are you sure that would work for fr 965, don't you need a 970 or 570?

I just tested to create one and it worked for me (I got it on my FR 965). According to Copilot:

Garmin only shows Triathlon Coach if:

You have a compatible watch paired (Forerunner 965 is compatible)

Your app is updated

Your region supports Triathlon Coach (Finland does)

You’re not already running another Garmin Coach plan

If another plan is active (e.g., 5K/10K/HM), Garmin hides the triathlon plans.

The sad thing is that Garmin excludes half and full distance coach plans, for some reason I do not understand. All the features are in the FR 965 for that to work.
