How is the “Reference Point” control used? (I couldn’t find anything explaining it in the manual.)

Reference Point is a navigation app on Garmin® watches that provides a line of sight and bearing to a location. The location can be set as your current location, a compass bearing with a projected waypoint, or a previously saved location.
