Since the Software Version Update from V22.24 to V23.20 at the Forerunner 965 there is no distance reporting for indoor racket activity.
I'm wearing my HRM Pro Plus for Indoor Squash to get the distance during and after the activity. This worked well until V23.20.

My mate has the same issue with his Forerunner 955 and his HRM Pro Plus.
