Power meter and smart trainer connected at the same time

Hi,

I've got Favero power meter pedals and a KICKR Core both hooked up to my Forerunner 965.

When I'm doing an indoor workout using the Forerunner to control the smart trainer (e.g., "Follow Workout"), which power meter is the Forerunner listening to? The one in trainer, or the pedals?
