Laggy UI on forerunner 965

Hi everyone, i recently bought my first running watch, the garmin 965. I am very satisfied with all the functions and insights it is able to produce.

There is just one thing that is bugging me. The UI keeps freezing up when i am scrolling through the widgets.

It happens when i am using the buttons and the touch screen.

It is a small thing that keeps irritating me more and more.

Do someone else have the same problem? And has anything worked to resolve the issue?

Do you use widgets that you installed from the Connect IQ store? I see a small lag, less then a second, when I scroll through the widgets, every time one of those CIQ widgets "enter" the screen. It also…

My wife has a FR965 and she has the same experience. I removed a bunch of glance widgets and that seemed to help but generally, she still experiences UI freezes fairly regularly. For comparison, I’ve never once experienced that on my Fenix 8.

I don't have that issue on mine. My watch is stock with one 3rd party glance(battery monitor). I have 29 glances and haven't seen any lag issues.

If you haven't already, try holding the light button (upper left button) until the watch turns off. Turn ot back on.

But what does "UI" mean? Why not use the exact name and not these boring acronyms?

I have installed one watch face that I’m not using from the connector IQ store. I will try to uninstall that one and see.

unused watchface shouldn't matter. "unused" widget does (you should skip it, which means you display it (1 second lag), then skip to the next one)

Same problem, sometimes it gets really annoying. How can I solve it?
