Battery Drain & Sensor Issues After Blue Triangle Screen Incident

Hi everyone,

Since the global blue triangle screen issue on January 28th, my Forerunner 965 has been experiencing excessive battery drain. Over the past week, it got worse: the heart rate sensor stops working intermittently, and the battery now drains completely in less than 8 hours—even with no activity.

Details:

  • Previously normal battery life (~5 days) dropped significantly post-incident.

  • HR sensor fails during workouts (no data gaps before).

  • Latest software/firmware updates installed (version X.X.X).

  • Factory reset performed—no improvement.

Has anyone else faced this? Any fixes or advice before contacting Garmin support?
